Destination Bihar Expo

Bihar Industries Association (BIA) is organizing "Destination Bihar - Expo 2013", an exhibition that would display industrial output of the state, from March 12.

Stalls would be put up by reputed companies and industrial units of the state at the six-day exhibition.

The fair would be inaugurated by deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi . The expo aims to showcase Bihar's potential in the field of industries and agriculture.

March 13 would be celebrated as Industry Day, March 14 as Agriculture Day, March 15 as Infrastructure Day and March 16 as Tourism Day at the expo.

The Expo would conclude on March 17. The fair would be open for all from 11am to 8pm and the entry is free for all. The fair, being held for the second time after 2011, will be held at Patliputra Colony ground and is supported by different government departments, including industries and agriculture.


The exhibition would also provide a consultancy programme. "Those who want to set up an industrial unit, especially youngsters who have finished college and want to become entrepreneurs, would be given complete information about setting up of enterprises by experts at the fair.A state-level vendors' meet would also be organized at the fair to give them an exposure to national market.

A street play on industrialization by members of Bihar Art theatre would also be staged at the expo and a demonstration on disaster management is also being planned. " General interest stalls for visitors and game stalls for kids are also being planned.
