E-filing of returns for persons with income above five lakh rupees

Persons having an annual income of over 5 lakh rupees will be required to file their Income Tax returns in electronic form. The Finance Ministry is also making provisions for e-filing of Wealth Tax returns. The Income Tax Department is identifying PAN holders who have not filed returns.
